The congress will be held between 25 - 28 April on the campus of the Medical University – Sofia and for another year will bring together over 500 participants from all over the world in the name of science and medicine.
The theme of this year's edition is "Shaping the future through science" and it promises to develop the potential of young doctors as well as shape the future of medical sciences. Guest lecturers will be Prof. Stanimir Sirakov (University Hospital "St. Ivan Rilski"), Prof. Elisa Anamaria Liehn (University of Southern Denmark), Dr. Tomaž Štupnik (University of Ljubljana), Dr. Mathijs Botman (Global Surgery Amsterdam) and Dr. Murhaf Assaf (University Hospital of Wales). They will introduce the participants to the latest achievements and trends in the field of medicine.
ICMS encourages future doctors to take the path of science. 126 active participants will present their scientific work in four different areas – internal medicine, surgery, public health and preclinical disciplines.
During the congress, participants will practice and improve their skills in over 75 hands-on workshops in various medical fields. They will have the opportunity to be in the real hospital and laboratory setting, to suture, intubate, read diagnostic imaging reports/ results, provide first aid, diagnose as professionals and so much more. The mentors of the workshops will present innovations in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
ICMS 2024 is an event about innovation, collaboration and the infinite potential of shared knowledge. According to the organizers, this is the event that will change the future of medicine.
