    We would like to inform you that the Faculty Council of the Medical Faculty adopted the composition of the Commission for ongoing attestation of the academic staff of the Medical Faculty- Sofia at an online meeting, which was held on 19th-20th November 2020.

    1. Monitoring of the academic staff attestation, in accordance with Article 109 of the REGULATIONS ON THE CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURES FOR ACQUIRING ACADEMIC DEGREES AND OCCUPYING ACADEMIC POSITIONS AT THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – SOFIA
    2. Monitoring of the procedures for acquiring scientific degrees and occupying academic positions in accordance with the DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMIC STAFF IN THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA ACT.

     

    We would like to inform you that the Faculty Council of the Medical Faculty adopted the composition of the Eligibility commission for occupying the academic positions Chief Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor at the Medical Faculty- Sofia at an online meeting, which was held on 19th-20th November 2020.

    1. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Ivanov Bulanov, MD- Dean of the Medical Faculty- Sofia

    Members:

    1. Prof. Hristo Dimitrov Georgiev, DMSc- Vice Dean of Scientific Research and Development of Academic Staff
    2. Member of the Commission for ongoing attestation of the academic staff in the relevant specialty
    3. Head of the department in which the competition was announced
    4. Habilitated lecturer from the relevant department
    5. Albena Vitanova Goldspink– lawyer of the Medical Faculty- Sofia

    Alternate member: Member of the Commission for ongoing attestation of the academic staff in the relevant specialty

    Technical assistant

    The activities of the commission are related to the competitions for occupying the academic positions Chief Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor.

    • The Commission shall review the documents submitted to the Dean, in accordance with Article 121(1), 128(1), 136(1).
    • The Commission reviews the submitted documents and in accordance with Article 121(4), 128(3) and 136(3) shall issue a protocol on whether they meet the requirements of Annexes 3 and 4 of the REGULATIONS ON THE CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURES FOR ACQUIRING ACADEMIC DEGREES AND OCCUPYING ACADEMIC POSITIONS AT THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – SOFIA as well as on the eligibility of the applicants for participation in the competition. As for the applicants, who have not been admitted to the competition, the reasons for their non-admission shall also be indicated. The protocol of the commission shall be submitted to the Faculty Council, which selects/does not select a scientific jury for the competition.

    Proposals made by the Departmental Councils regarding the scientific jury shall be submitted to the Dean of the Medical Faculty no later than 14 days before the expiry of the deadline for admission of documents and the proposal for a commission, which shall review the documents, shall be submitted no later than 14 days before the expiry of the deadline for admission.

    Only lecturers from the relevant specialty shall be included in the scientific jury.
