Central Medical Library provides access to a large collection of medical literature, free Internet at its premises and online access to several bibliographic and full text databases and platforms.
The library owns a collection of over 300 000 print editions in Bulgarian and other foreign languages, including books, textbooks, journals, dissertations etc. which can be used in its spacious reading halls or (some of them) borrowed for home use.
The necessary documents for registration are:
- For students: certified student ID by the Medical University of Sofia and a national ID card;
- For teaching and administration staff, doctoral students and residents of the Medical University of Sofia: a document certifying the workplace and a national ID card.
Central Medical Library is located in the “Alexandrovska” hospital campus, to the right of its central entrance on “Sv. Georgi Sofiiski Street, next to the “Internal diseases” clinic.
